Collaborative framework
The ‘partnership’ mode corresponds to a situation in which the Units of Work produced by IDMABIO are produced as part of a project in which IDMABIO is an explicit partner in a research project. The budget required to produce the Units of Work is therefore anticipated/secured by the Client and IDMABIO can benefit, within the framework of the Research project, from other budgets (travel expenses, equipment, fixed-term contracts, etc.). IDMABIO is clearly associated with the publication to the extent of the services rendered and other implications.
The ‘service provision’ mode corresponds to a situation where the work units produced by IDMABIO are produced as part of a service provision. Pricing therefore takes into account at least all the costs assessed. If IDMABIO has to be mentioned for its activity (in the context of an article, in the Material and Method and/or the Acknowledgements), IDMABIO is not considered as a co-owner of the results.
Storage & Shipping
I- Good sample storage practices before shipping
We recommend storing samples in microtubes containing undenatured (>99.5%) absolute ethanol (which does not contain methanol or isopropanol) and storing them in the freezer.
Depending on future applications, samples may be stored in 70% alcohol or higher.
II- Sample dispatch
Optimum dispatch recommendations are as follows:
– Samples should be in good condition.
– The quantity of specimens should be sufficient.
– Samples should be stored in undenatured absolute ethanol (>99.5%), in targeted microtubes or SAFELOCK microtubes.
– The name of the sample (as short as possible) should appear clearly on the microtube (alcohol-resistant writing or label). If possible, the name should also be written inside the tube (on grey pencil paper or printed using an alcohol-resistant printer) to avoid any loss of information.
– Microtubes should be protected in a second, tightly-sealed container (e.g. boxes) before being placed in the shipping parcel.
– It is preferable to favour rapid transport (less than 24h), avoiding shipments on the eve of weekends or public holidays, with fresh packages containing ice packs.
