This privacy policy defines and informs you of the way in which the IDMABIO uses and protects any information that you may transmit when you use this site, which can be accessed from the following URL: https://www.idmabio.com/.
Please note that this privacy policy may be amended or supplemented at any time by IDMABIO, in particular in order to comply with any changes in legislation, regulations, case law or technology. In such a case, the date of the update will be clearly identified at the top of this policy. These modifications are binding on the User as soon as they are posted online. The User should therefore regularly consult this privacy and cookie use policy in order to take note of any changes.
1. PERSONAL DATA
In general, you can visit the IDMABIO website without providing any personal information about yourself. In any event, you are under no obligation to transmit this information to IDMABIO. However, if you refuse, you may not be able to benefit from certain information or services that you have requested. In this regard, IDMABIO may in certain cases ask you to provide your surname, first name, e-mail address, telephone number, etc. By providing this information, you expressly agree to it being processed by IDMABIO, for the purposes indicated in point 2 below and for the purposes stated at the end of each form.
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) adopted by the European Parliament on 14 April 2016, and the amended Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, IDMABIO informs you of the following:
• 1. Identity of the data publisher

• 2. Purposes of processing
IDMABIO may process your personal information:
(a) for the purposes of communicating with you about its news and services by means of newsletters and transactional e-mails; and/or
(b) for the purpose of collecting information on the behaviour of Internet users on its site in order to refine browsing statistics.
• 3. Destinataires
Only IDMABIO is the recipient of your Personal Information. This data, whether in individual or aggregated form, is never transmitted to a third party, notwithstanding the sub-contractors used by IDMABIO (you will find further information about them in point 8 below). Neither IDMABIO nor any of its subcontractors market the personal data of visitors and Users of its Site.

An SSL certificate and several security extensions ensure secure browsing on our site.
• 5. Storage life
Your Personal Information is kept by IDMABIO only for the time corresponding to the purpose of the collection as indicated in 2 above, which in any event may not exceed 24 months.
• 6. Information Technology and Civil Liberties rights
In accordance with the regulations concerning the processing of personal data, the user has the rights listed below.
In order for the data controller to comply with the request, the user must provide the following information: first name, surname and e-mail address.
o Right of access, rectification and deletion of data
You have the right to access your Personal Information.
However, due to IDMABIO’s obligation of security and confidentiality in the processing of personal data, you are informed that your request will be processed provided that you can prove your identity, in particular by producing a scan of your valid identity document (in the event of a request by e-mail) or a signed photocopy of your valid identity document (in the event of a request in writing).
IDMABIO informs you that it will be entitled, where appropriate, to object to requests that are manifestly abusive (by their number, repetitive or systematic nature).
Under this right, you are entitled by law to request the rectification, updating, blocking or deletion of any data concerning you that may be inaccurate, incorrect, incomplete or obsolete.
You can also define general and specific directives relating to the fate of your personal data after your death. Where applicable, the heirs of a deceased person may request that the death of their relative be taken into account and/or that the necessary updates be made.

In accordance with the provisions of Regulation 2016/679, the user has the right not to be subject to a decision based exclusively on an automated process if the decision produces legal effects concerning him or her, or significantly affects him or her in a similar way.
o The right to determine what happens to data after death.
Users are reminded that they can organise what is to become of their data collected and processed if they die, in accordance with law no. 2016-1321 of 7 October 2016.
• 7. Response times
IDMABIO undertakes to reply to your request for access, rectification or opposition or any other additional request for information within a reasonable period of time, which may not exceed 1 month from receipt of your request.
• 8. Authorised service providers and transfer to a non-EU country
IDMABIO informs you that it has recourse to its authorised service providers to facilitate the collection and processing of the data you have communicated to us. These service providers may be located outside the European Union and may receive data collected via the various forms on the Site.
IDMABIO has first ensured that its service providers provide adequate guarantees and comply with strict conditions regarding confidentiality, use and protection of data.
• 9. Complaint to the competent authority
If you consider that IDMABIO is not complying with its obligations with regard to your Personal Information, you may lodge a complaint or a request with the competent authority. 2. RGPD: General Data Protection Regulation
How information is distributed (RGPD)
IDMABIO, located within the Institut Sophia Agrobiotech (Centre de Recherche Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur, 400, route des Chappes, BP 167 – 06903 Sophia-Antipolis Cedex, France) offers expert services in the fields of molecular characterisation.
IDMABIO offers a range of standard and customised services. Orders for services are placed on the basis of a needs analysis. The data collected is recorded and processed in a ‘Customer’ file. This file enables us to manage and trace all requests.
The data collected is stored :
– in the mailboxes of IDMABIO team members, during exchanges to ensure proper follow-up of the request with the customer and between IDMABIO members.
– in Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF format on a DROPBOX (for which the confidentiality policy can be found at https://www.dropbox.com/privacy) with access restricted to IDMABIO staff, for quotations, order forms, delivery notes and service reports that IDMABIO sends to customers.
– in laboratory notebooks kept in the IDMABIO office with access restricted to IDMABIO staff.
– in dedicated software (Esitoul, Biolomics) for managing the storage of biological material and data relating to this material, and documents relating to the services requested.
– in the extranet of the idmabio site for sharing and managing documents relating to the services requested.
Categories of data stored
Identity: title, surname, first name, address, delivery address, telephone number, e-mail address, internal processing code enabling the customer to be identified.
Data relating to orders: transaction number, details of purchases, amount of purchases, data relating to the settlement of invoices (payments, outstanding payments, discounts).
Data relating to means of payment: bank details (RIB).
Recipients of the data
The IDMABIO team is the recipient of all categories of data.
Its subcontractors, responsible for delivering its orders, are recipients of the identity, address and telephone number of customers.
The accounting department, responsible for invoicing, receives the identity, address, telephone number and bank details of our customers.
Data retention period
Data required for order management and invoicing: for the duration of the commercial relationship and ten (10) years for accounting purposes. For data traceability at the level of biological material, this data is kept indefinitely.
Data relating to means of payment: this data is not kept.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify or delete your personal data. You also have the right to portability and the right to limit the processing of your data (see www.cnil.fr for more information on your rights). 3. COOKIES POLICY
When you first connect to the IDMABIO website, you are warned by a banner at the bottom of your screen that information relating to your browsing may be recorded in files called “cookies”.
